Sunflower S02 Hindi ALL Episode Review

Sunflower (Season 2) Hindi Storyline

Sunflower S02 Hindi ALL Episode: A quirky murder mystery based in a housing society called Sunflower. Its simpleton resident Sonu dives headlong into a murder mystery and becomes the chief suspect. What happens next?

Sunflower is a housing society with its fair share of comedic characters. But none more hairbrained and awkward than simpleton Sonu. He dives headlong into the centre of a murder investigation of a society resident, and in no time manages to become the chief suspect. Around him, the real murderers, a resident couple in Sunflower itself, tread cautiously. Will they get away as Sonu keeps digging his own grave? As the investigation escalates, the hypocritical society members worry about their beloved society losing its good old glory. But the problem is the next generation’s ways are neither good nor old. Late-night parties, suspected lesbians, and tattooed tenants will surely make Sunflower wither, they say. Between Sonu tightening the noose around his own neck, the murderers living on the edge and the society trying to uplift its society’s values, Sunflower is a quirky murder mystery in a comedy of errors.—Promita Mukherjee

Sunflower (Season 2) Review

Sunflower lacks focus. The show is essentially a murder mystery but the story deviates into so many different directions that you end up wondering as to what exactly do the creators of the show want to do. The story has been unnecessarily stretched to 8 episodes, in which multiple story lines are touched upon but none of them get resolved by the end of the show, including the central plot of the show, the murder mystery. Sunflower has been promoted as a black comedy but it has barely got any humour in it. The tenant interview scenes were funny initially but became repetitive, boring and unnecessary after a while. Those scenes added nothing to the show and unfortunately were the only ones given to the immensely talented Ashish Vidyarthi. The screenplay of the show did not have the strength to carry on for eight long episodes, and yet it does making it a boring watch for the viewers. The process of investigation was highly questionable and often times quite dumb.
